On Juneteenth — Friday, June 19, 2026 — NTEU Chapter 212 will be hosting a “Rally for Due Process” outside the Merit Systems Protection Board (“MSPB”) Western Regional Office in Oakland, California.
This rally is about more than a single issue. It’s about the fundamental right of every federal employee to be treated with fairness, dignity, and the full protections of the law. Federal workers across the country — including many of our own members — have been subjected to mass Reductions in Force (“RIFs”) that stripped them of their livelihoods without meaningful due process. The MSPB exists precisely to protect federal employees from this kind of abuse. We are gathering to demand it fulfill that mission.
Event Details:
- Date: Friday, June 19, 2026 — Juneteenth (Federal Holiday)
- Time: 3:00 PM – 5:00 PM PT
- Location: Outside the MSPB Western Regional Office, 1301 Clay Street, Suite 1380N, Oakland, CA 94612
We Are Rallying For:
- Full due process rights for all RIF-affected employees
- Timely and fair adjudication of pending MSPB appeals
- Accountability from agency leadership and MSPB officials
- Restoration of rights and remedies for those unlawfully separated
Because June 19th is a federal holiday, this is a rare opportunity for current federal employees, former federal employees, union members, supporters, and allies to stand together without taking leave. Bring a sign, bring your voice, and — most importantly — bring a friend.
